The Computer Lab was formed in 2022 in the old Sunday School Room of The Cornerstone to create a space for those without internet access (and for the CoderDojo group) to use a computer and get fast, free internet access when required.
The Computer Lab has facilities for up to 12 users (+1 presenter seat) via the access to 6 Desktop PC's (HP EliteDesk 800 G2 SFF) and 7 Laptop PC's (Lenovo ThinkPad X270), all of these devices receive the fast, free internet access that is required.
There is also access to some of the CoderDojo resources such as BBC Micro:bit's, headphones, and other applications on the PCs.
Access to the Computer Lab is managed by the Halls Administrator for regular users (on Tuesday's & Thursday's when the Church Office is open) and for lets, permission is required from the IT Committee.
Instruction Manuals for most are available on this Wiki, nested under this section.
For more information, contact The IT Committee.
Access to the Computer Lab is restricted at certain times when the Open Area is in use.
A mix of applications have been chosen for the Computer Lab - varying from those for General Usage (M365) to other more specific usages (Scratch for basic computer programming).
Any users with application requests are advised to contact The Cornerstone Office.
There are 6 desktop computer workstations in the IT Lab (see photo 1), each being equipped with:-

A guide is available locally for signing into the Microsoft 365 Suite, as credentials are required.

Sign out of the workstation by pressing the Windows Start key and then clicking on the “Guest” tab – followed by “Sign Out”, then switch off the monitor and return any borrowed items.
